Ian Truitner, Writer; Director
Mr. Truitner recently
completed his first feature film, "Cutting Room" which which premiered
in the Milan International Film Festival in Milan, Italy as one of only
11 films in competition at this year's event. It won two awards -- Best
Production Design and Best Original Score. It went up against the big
studio picture "Lucky Slevin" for other major catagories.
Before "Cutting Room" Mr. Truitner wrote and directed four independent
35mm short films, and several studio industrials for Warner Brothers
Pictures and Walt Disney Feature Animation. One of his shorts, "Richard
Roe", was acquired by Hypnotic for distribution and won multiple awards,
including short film winner at Telluride Indiefest, the audience award
at WestFest, finalist at the Moxie! Awards, and was an official selection
at the Seattle International Film Festival and Palm Springs International
Film Festivals. Ian has also directed national commercial spots, including
a Telly Award winner for 'Spike TV'. He has also written over a dozen
scripts for TV series 'Untold Stories from the E.R.' for TLC. Mr. Truitner
graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in
Theater Arts, and completed the screenplay course of study at the American
Film Institute's Professional Training Division. Mr. Truitner is also
a writer of "The Money Shot" and will work as the director of "The Money
Shot."
